I have done a little bit of research regarding James Pohara Davis. He is my Great-Great Grandfather. His son James Arthur Davis was my grandads father. I believe Pohara married Letitia Chin Chee. From what I have found out Pohara was born in 1851 in Bluff and died in August 1917. Pohara's parents were Archibald (Andrew)Davis and a Maori woman by the name of Koori from Ruapuke Island. I hope this helps. I do have a little bit more info but I'm not sure how reliable it is so if you have any luck finding out more I would be very interested to know. Cheers.
