KOPA, Merihana Ruiha
Looking for relatives of the KOPA or EDMONDS whanau to help with my info on the Grand Aunty, Merihana Ruiha KOPA (nee Kena).
My Grandfather, Te Roa Waitai KENA lost trace of his sister during World War II as his parents died when they were very young. He left his sister (when he was 19 to join the army) with relatives, who said that she had died.
Apparently she never died and went with the Edmonds family in Kawakawa region, he found she was still alive at 7 6years old living in Kaeo, Whangaroa Northland.
She married a KOPA (Cooper) had a disabled child, both son and father died before her. Never found out her lifestory, or relatives. If there is anyone out there that may or know of her, would love you to contact me, firstname.lastname@example.org Marlene West
