Trying to trace my grandmother's family. Her name was Kura Farr (born in Tikitiki) , and i believe her mother was Hiria Pokai. I know there was a reunion for our whanau a few years ago, but my Uncle Charlie Farr died the week of the reunion, so our whanau never made it. I would jsut like to take the opportunity to get to know and possibly meet some of our whanau.
Well low and behold, i have some information whilst tidying up my late grandmothers things
my great grandmother was HIRIA TE WHARE KOTUKU who married TAARE FARR
Hiria was also named after her mother HIRIA TE WHARE KOTUKU who a daughter of HENARE POKAI & KAHIWA TAIAPA
Henare was the son of MITA POKAI & MAATA TARAHAU
