Hi there. My name is Joanna Huru. My mothers name is Maryanne Manukau her mother is Maraea rogan a sister to Charllote. I only met out of all the brothers and sisters of your grandmothers side uncle murdoch. I belive we are of the same family. My mother just said that your grandparents were in the Mangamuka area the last time she heard. I'm a bit unclear of everything at the moment as she was on her way out. My grandmother Maraea married a Manukau from Arapaoa thats in Kaipara. It would be nice to catch up and compare notes as I have no information regarding my mums side as she dosen't remember too much. I hope to hear from you soon. Until then cheers

Hi just became a member so I hope this is not too late.
Your grandfather was the son of Hingaia (nee Tauteka) look at the Ngati Whaoa website, which has original tribe, Tuwharetoa in the Reporoa area. Hingaia's father was Wi Tauteka, her brother Whareki was my great grandfather. From Maori court records, there was about 7 brothers and sisters, if you want I can get you their names. Do a search on google for Tauteka, you will learn a lot
