If anyone knows the whereabouts for Abe I would appreciate it. The last I knew he was working in Nelson on the fishing boats. Can anyone lead me to his whereabouts, he maybe using TeOka or KahuKoti as his surname.

How long have you been searching.
Well anyway try looking on www.oldfriends.nz and look under the
schools or even the fisheries down there in Nelson.
so keep up your good work.

If you go to http://www.whitepages.co.nz and search for the surnames TeOka, Te Oka and Kahukoti you could try ringing those people as they may know Abe.

Good Luck!

Last I heard Abey was back in the Manawatu,
I don't know if Butchy would know his whereabouts. (Hope it's the right Abe your thinking about) From the Manawatu.

Thanks ringo.deano for your posting. I have friends who live in Palmerston North, so they may be able to track him down. I was last in Palmerston North in 1995 and he was back there then, so its probably the same old Abe, he was always one not to settle down. Thanks once again for your posting.

Kia ora koutou my name is Antonio Kerry Oka (Te Oka Reti) My grandfather was Hone TeOka. His fathers name was Waata Te Oka. The name Te Oka came from my grandfathers great grand father who was Te Oka Reti Mohi. Te oka's father was Te Reti Mohi and his father was Mohi Tarapuhi

Hone TeOka married Paremoetu Wirihana
Waata TeOka married Te Kai Hemotu
Te Oka married Ngawai Te Pere
Te Reti Mohi married Tuihana Taiwhakaea (Tuwhakaea)
Mohi Tarapuhi married Rangi Tamata

My question is do you or anyone know of Abes whakapapa of if he is a Te Oka, Is there any connection?

I am also in the process of looking for whanau who have the same surname as I have and if there is any connection to my whakapapa.

If you would like to know I have whanau that live in Shannon that are Oka (Te Oka) they could probably help you
