Waretini whanau found in Maniapoto and same whanau also live near Okaihau Northland

Waretini also living in Te Hauke, about 20 k's out of Hastings. I know of a Lisa Edwards (nee Waretini) married Jerry Edwards of Hastings. Lisa's mum died last year and her brother, Andy Waretini died just recently.

Harry Waretini lives in Tokoroa and works as a stacker driver at Kinlieth. Hes from the Kahwia/Raglan area.

Harry Waretini from Tokoroa and Lisa Edwards from Te Hauke are the Grandchildren of Waretini Pahi also known as Pahi Waretini of Ngati Maniapoto. Lisa's father Tutira was the youngest son of his first marriage to Te Mori Newton, Ngati Koata , Ngati Mahanga. Harry is the Son of Harry snr and the Grandson of Pahi from his second marriage to Hera Waretini. This branch of the Family is Tainui Awhiro from Whaingaroa Raglan

Kia Ora the Waretini whanau from Maniapoto and Okaihau Northland are from the same branch. The family I know are from Te Kuiti. Bob one of the brothers married a lady from Rahiri Okaihau and Bob family still stay there.
