kia ora...
a friend has found an old photo of a maori couple inside her home in Otahuhu while doing her renovations at her home. Judging by the clothes and the old cars, it must have been taken in the 1950’s, if not earlier. She feels it is so important to somehow return this photo to its rightful owners and their whanau. If the couple have grown old and passed away, this will be very precious to their heirs. It is a very small photo, as was typical of the era, measuring 59mm x 80mm and you can see it has become scratched and damaged over time. There is nothing decipherable written on the back, not even a date or a name.

IF ANYONE HAD A NANA AND PAPA LIVING DOWN AVENUE ROAD EAST OTAHUHU AND THINKS IT MAY BE THEIR WHANAU PLEASE CONTACT ME....THEY DESERVE TO BE HOME WITH THEIR MOKOS

Kia Ora,

That's awesome that you're doing that Donia, our whanau had some lovely old photo's from way back and sadly they were misplaced - don't know where they are to this day. It would be nice if someone like yourself would put a message up like you have saying they have our tupuna. Good luck with your quest and good on you for trying to find the rightful owners.
