Kia Ora,

I am seeking any info on my Grandfathers side.

My grandfathers name is Hohepa Reupene Tiatoa. He married my Nana Audrey Te Aurere Tiatoa (nee Takimoana)

His mother was Huihana Mapi and his father Reupene Pari or Puri Tiatoa (not 100% sure on his name)

Puri or Pari's parents were Tipene Tiatoa and Ripeka Tiatoa.

I have papa Hohepa's brothers and sisters, however would really love any info on Tipene and Ripeka's lineage back?

Kia ora @frantiatoa

Welcome to the Whakapapa Club 🙂  Firstly I have written out your whakapapa that you gave above from the oldest generation down - more so I can follow it as that makes it easier for me.

Tipene Tiatoa = Ripeka Tiatoa
      |
Reupene Pari or Puri Tiatoa =  Huihana Mapi
       |
Hohepa Reupene Tiatoa = Audrey Te Aurere Tiatoa  (nee Takimoana)

If you Create a Google Whakapapa Search  by putting Tipene in the Firstname box and TIATOA in the surname box then click on the familysearch site records you will find quite a few records there that may be relevant, although you must remember that not everything in that site is accurate but it is a good place to start.

This is what I have gleaned from the fs (familysearch) records with just a quick look.

Tipene TIATOA, born about 1852, married about 1870 to Ripeka POTI.

Had a child Era TIPENE TIATOA, born about 1878, married about 1897 to Maihi Miha MAIHI.   Looks like they had about 10 children.

Now in that site searching for  Ripeka POTI we find the following information:
Ripeka POTI, born about 1850, married about 1870 to Tipene TIATOA

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Records further back from the fs site

Te Hikairo
    |
Tipene TIATOA

Kote WHEOKI (born about 1810) (down as father of Rupene POTI and has name as Mrs Kote WHEOKI)
       |
Rupene POTI (born about 1830) = Irihapeti (married about 1849)
      |
Ripeka POTI

Have a good look around the fs site by trying different names in the search box there once you have done the initial search from the link I put about. If the spellings are different (like Reupene and Rupene) it sometimes pays to check them out anyway.   If there is only one name, put that in the surname search box there.  If the last name is something like TE INGOA just put the INGOA in the search box there else if you put TE INGOA you will end up with all records the TE in them as well as INGOA.  If you want any help with the site, or understanding how it works, just post back here.

And as I said before, not all records are accurate at the fs site, but it is a good place to start.

Good luck! 😀

Just in another site and found

Huihana Aporo TIATOA (born MAPI / MURPHY), born 26 Dec 1893 at Utakura, Died 20 Nov 1928

Also just realised in the title you have Manihera  KOMENE - where does this name come in?  If not on the lines here, maybe do another post for that person 🙂
