Any information would be great. I am especially looking for information on iwi, hapu, marae that I am connected to through Sarah.
Hello my mother was Ellen Wade, born in Naikie 1912, Sarah was my Aunty. Mervyn is my cousin. I think my mother told me that Mervyn was married to Maureen. I have have just moved and seem to have lost a lot of my papers on the family, plus a few old photos. Will look further for them.
On the list above you see Vivien Wade. Vivien in fact was Sara's grand daughter, child of Moana, who was married to Les Neil. I beleive from memory there is also a sister Moana as well. I would like to find out more about the family as well.
im also from the william wade & erini ellen kawharu line my gg grandfather was charles waterford wade andhe married ngawhari whuinui family i find your family as another branch of which is of interest to my self we must comunicate if we could and to share more infromation of the same line which is a big line good luck=D
Kia ora, My father George is a son of Sarah Wade and Haani Waraki Te Ruki, he was bought up by Sarah and Harawira Armstrong. He had an older brother Rob. Then nan had Mona and Mervyn to Harawira Armstrong. Mona married Les Neil. They bought up 4 children, Vivian, Brian, Lesley and Melva.
Mervyn is my Uncle.
Kia Ora to Lynne also Daphne who I guess is a distant family member. To Lynne if your mother was Irene then I remember them both from when I was younger. We used to see George & Irene at Sarahs. Bill Armstrong I remember well. Mervyn & Mona were my cousins. Moana has been deceased for many years. I have lost contact with Les Neil & his family.
kia ora whanau, I must check this site more often as last time I looked none of your comments were here. Im sure I've checked since July though so maybe I've been looking in the wrong place.
Mervyn and Maureen (my parents) now live in Taranaki as do I and my teina Shannon. One of our tungane is in Pukekoe and the other in Tauranga so we are spread. Three of us have tamariki so the family continues to grow. I am particularly interested in finding out which iwi, hapu and marae(s) Sarah was affiliated with if anyone knows. Seems to be a bit of lost info at this end of the family.
Blessings to you all;)

I am interested in the same information.
My Husband descends from Eliza Ngahuia Wade sister of David Wilson Wade.
I have all the same information as you for their parents and grandparents but no tribe, iwi or hapu. It seems both William Wade and Ellen Wilson had Maori Mothers.
Good Luck, and i'll let you know if I find any information too.
