Hi,

I'm collecting any information I can and would really appreciate any help anyone may be able to give me.

I would love to find out my Hapu, Marae and anything else I can, Listed below is the infomation I have so far:

My Great-Grandmother:
HOLDEN, Mary - married ATKINS, William

Her Mother:
HAPIMANA, Mere - Married HOLDEN, Thomas
I believe Thomas had a brother or son who discovered a glow-worm cave at Waitomo.

Her Parents:
HAPIMANA, Tamati and Matira
Tamati and Matira also had a son, HAPIMANA, Taimona (Simon) who was an anglican Rev. - based in Auckland?

His Parents:
HAPIMANA, Pene and Maraea

Thanks,

Hi cruizie, you mention that the son Taimona was a minister with the Anglican Church. Go to the New Zealand Anglican Church site, or perhaps the Anglican Māori Church site, they maybe able to help, with written details of ministers and places. There is St Johns Church College in Auckland also, they have an awesome library.

Thank you for your reply

I found a photo of him at the Kinder Library in Remuera which was fantastic, but they had no other information on him apart from his Father's name so unfortunately it was a dead end.

Thanks for the suggestion though, any others would be much appreciated!
