Kia ora, just wandering if anyone knows of further publications/articles pertaining to the event attributed to the naming of 'Te Patuwai', hapu of Ngati Awa. Have gathered info from J.p.society volumes, Best, Lyall, Gudgeon, Ballara, Sisson, Tauranga & whakatane historic memoirs and several others. Have spoken with several kaumatua and have gathered bits and pieces of info from other people. Tried entering different headings in internet search but would welcome any other info.
