Could anyone tell me anything about the NgatiWhauroa (a sub tribe of Tainui)
Love to find our heritage.

A quick search confirms Ngati Whauroa is a hapu of Waikato. Try your main library in their Archives and search resources. Or maybe someone could add to this.

Tena koe,
Ngati Whauroa used to occupy the western banks of the Waikato awa in Taupiri, that area between Huntly and Ngaruawahia. About 1885-6, most of that land was lost, so the hapu spread. Horahora marae, Rangiriri can be considered to be of Ngati Whauroa through a tupuna called Akarauti, whose children married into that whanau.
A number of other marae(s)in te Puaha o Waikato can also whakapapa back to Ngati Whauroa, as well.
Kia ora.
