Kia ora my mother(deceased) was a Raumati.
What connection do`se your friend have?
As far as I know the marae out there is Reretewhiu situated just past Waiuku.

Kawhia marae are Maketu and Waipapa. In the Kawhia, Pirongia area you have Te Tihi o Moerangi, Rakaunui, Okapu and a few others whose names momentarily escape me.
