Tena koe,

Karani Huru was my great great grandfather. I grew up in and around Omanaia most of my childhood. I stayed with Karani Penetana and Karani Raunatiri Titore at Ratiri as my father was raised by them from a young age.

Karani Huru was indeed a great man in his time and many stories have been passed through the generations. My best advice would be for you to return to Omanaia and there you may have a better chance at finding what it is your looking for.

Kia ora ra,
