Kia ora,

My name is Helen, my great-grandfather's name was Nes Toki and up till this week I thought I was Ngapuhi. I do not know my hapu or marae, but I know that Nes lived in Kohukohu at some point, and also Ahipara. I'm not sure if that's where he was actually brought up.
I tried to register with Ngapuhi but they have informed me Kohukohu is actually outside the ngapuhi boundary, so now my whanau are not even sure of our iwi! Could anyone help with this? I would be grateful for any information that helps find out my whakapapa! Cheers
