My grandmother's grandmother was born in Oamaru and came to Oz in the early 1900s. She claimed to be "part" maori. Her name was Sadie, and she married a man named Tom Hird. We do not know her maiden name. I want to find our lineage and trace the history... to find out who I am, and who my family is. Can anyone help me with suggestions of how to start?
