You can also like posts and tag members with an @ sign in front of their membername and it will automatically send them an email letting them know they have been mentioned in a post.

Kia ora!

Wow, this new site is totally great!  I have spent a lot of time over the years on the old Whakapapa Club but would sometimes find it hard to find things, but this is so easy to navigate around.  I really like the way there are relative lists at the bottom of each list, meaning a lot of time spent looking around 🙂

The work @webmaster has done is amazing, giving our Whakapapa Club a fresh lease of life.  I am going to enjoy roaming around here seeing what else I can discover 🙂

Kia ora

Congratulations, I have also used this site a lot over the years, and have made a couple of really good contacts although I note that some of  the information and contacts are no longer removed link   I guess this is to do with internet changes over the removed link

I know that the purpose of this site is to help others and that is wonderful, however I do not make postings as I still struggle a bit with the fact that I have been entrusted with a lot of whakapapa for people who are very distantly connected but are not my direct tupuna and don't feel at liberty to post what I know on the internet, even if it is in reply to removed link

I know many people still adhere to the old ways and treat whakapapa as tapu and I do not like to removed link

What do other people think about removed link

Tena koe @kakawahanui,

Once our new Whakapapa Club is running smoothly we will be upgrading maori.org.nz. We had a bit of trouble upgrading the Whakapapa Club on the old URL which is why we changed it to this one.  Of course that experience should help out @webmaster have a plan on how to upgrade maori.org.nz.
