Passed away peacefully in Whangarei, 31/10/07, with his whanau by his side. Loved by his children, many mokopuna, his last surviving brother Bill, nieces & nephews. Son of the late Tame & Matire Pitman (Petimana) of Tamaterau. "Ko to ngakau ki nga taonga a o tupuna hei tikitiki mo to mahunga - keep the treasure of your ancestors close to heart as a plume for your head".

Uncle Bunny is lying at his home, 87 whau Valley Road, Whangarei until Monday, service at Morris & Morris 11am Monday,5/12/07, burial at Onerahi Cemetery.

Uncle Bunny's service was attended by hundreds of whanau & friends, a great tribute to him. His mokopuna contributed to the service with their wonderful singing. The Pitmans will be holding a reunion in the next couple of years, so watch this space. Kia ora.
