Born: 18 Dec 1947 son of Harata & Komene Tairua (both dec)

Sadly passed away: 16 July 2007 Westmead Hospital SYDNEY NSW.

Loving husband of Puti & dedicated father of Paulette and 'our' Grandad to Hinenuiterangi, Akutina & Matire.

Arrangements are in place to return to NZ shortly and 'Hubba" will be laid to rest in TAKAHIWAI - Whangarei.

Updated notice will be posted shortly for date and time of Tangi at RANGIORA MARAE.

The whanau thank you for your awhi and aroha.

Thank you very much for this information. Does anybody know if there is going to be a service or viewing for Hubba here in Poihakena before he journey home to his final resting place?

Apologies for delay in update.

Last night (Tues) Uncle Hubba stayed overnight with the whanau at Wentworthville (Red Gums Community Centre). They are there till 1pm Wed 18 July before Uncle returns to the funeral parlour until the flight home, which is more than likely tomorrow Thursday.

Uncle Hubba and 14 whanau left Sydney Thursday 19 July 2007 at 7am this morning.

Thank you to all who are supporting this journey home.

Uncle Hubba was laid to rest at the urupa next to the Takahiwai Marae (near Marsden Point) south of Whangarei NZ on Saturday 21st July 2007.
