This is to inform the Family, Friends and Whanau of the sudden and unexpected death of the Late: VINCENT MULLHERN PAUL RAWIRI, (formerly of Gisborne, New Zealand) on Thursday 16 September 2004, at Wyong, on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

To VINCE's Whanau gathered at Wyong, NSW, those around Australia, back home in Aotearoa and around the World, but especially his soulmate, Wharekura and their children, Ayla, Blair, Vincent, Thomas and Shania, on behalf of Mitacare Funeral Services and our Whanau, I express and extend our Aroha to you all at this sad time.

May the LORD bless, strengthen and comfort you as you make preparations to receive VINCE at home, firstly at Wyong, NSW and then at the Takitimu Marae, Lavenham Road, Waituhi, Gisborne, Aotearoa (New Zealand).

As arrangements are finalised for the Late: VINCENT MULLHERN PAUL RAWIRI to return home to Aotearoa (New Zealand), I will post an update Panui to this web page to keep you informed as to departure from Sydney and arrival in Auckland, etc.

Kia Ora E Te Whanau

This is to inform and confirm to the Family, Friends and Whanau that the Body of the Late: Vincent Mullhern Paul RAWIRI will be transferred through to 317 Tuggerawong Road, Wyong, NSW, Australia, this afternoon, Tuesday 21 September 2004. Vince will lay-in-state there for one night only.

On Wednesday 22 September 2004, at 10:30am, Vince will be transferred back to Mitacare Funeral Services, Sydney, in preparation for his journey back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

The Late: VINCENT MULLHERN PAUL RAWIRI is scheduled to depart Sydney at 09:30am on Thursday 23 September 2004, aboard Air NZ Flight 102, with an estimated arrival into Auckland at 2:30pm (NZT). He will be accompanied by his wife, Wharekura and their 5 children together with other Whanau.

Following a brief stop at South Auckland Funeral Services, 553 Great South Road, Otahuhu, The Late: VINCENT MULLHERN PAUL RAWIRI will be transferred by his Whanau to the Takitimu Marae, Waituhi, Gisborne, where he will lay-in-state until the day of his internment in the Whanau Urupa.

On behalf of Mitacare Funeral Services and our Whanau in Sydney, I express and extend our Aroha to all the Family, Friends and Whanau in Wyong, Australia and those gathering at Takitimu Marae, Gisborne, to tangi VINCE's farewell.

This is to inform and confirm the departure of the Late: Vincent Mullhern Paul RAWIRI, his wife Kura and their five children, together with other Whanau, from Sydney this morning. They are travelling aboard Air NZ Flight 102 which is scheduled to arrive in Auckland at 2:30pm today, Thursday 23 September 2004.

To all of Vince's friends and Whanaunga on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia, especially his mates from the North Lakes Rugby Club, Thank You for the Welcome you gave Vince when I brought him home on Tuesday. The Haka was absolutely awesome. It was one of the most moving 'Welcome Home' I have experienced. Thank You! It is has been raining here in Sydney this morning, I know this rain is Vince's tears for all of you, and his Ozzie Whanau as he leaves the shores of Australia for the final time. God Bless You All.

Whanau, this brings my Mahi for the Late: Vincent Mullhern Paul RAWIRI to a close. It has been an honour and priviledge to serve your Family, Friends and Whanau at this very sad time.
