Bill passed away on Sunday 7ty Nov.2014 after a very long illness. His service will be apopo in Patea.
He spent so much of his life gathering whakapapa of Taranaki iwi, - Te Ati Awa etc., & gathering newspaper clippings involving them which has been a great help.
R.I.P Bill.

When maori.org.nz first started developing our whakapapa section back in the 1990's, Bill kindly gave us permission to post lists on our site to help with others searching for Whakapapa. Over the years we have seen his work grow as each year he added more and more to his site.
We pay tribute to him for willingly sharing what he had and feel the loss that someone who has been a part of the Whakapapa Club journey is no longer with us.
However, his work will live on, not only in the hearts and minds of the people that he has touched, but also in the Whakapapa Club lists that he has allowed us to add.
He mihi aroha tenei ki te whanau.
