learning about my where i am from
hi there, I have for the last couple of years, become very interested in discovering my whakapapa, and learning about te reo maori. so i may be able to tell my children where they are from.
Meretini Te akau, was my great grandmothers, fathers mother/grandmother from foxton/otaki. (i apologise if this is wrong)
Now on my mothers fathers side, I have recently learned my mothers father robert wilson. I believe from ngati paoa????
I think his mum was mihirangi turei??? I am unsure where to begin my search and how to explain our whakapapa to my children.
