Am looking for info for my pepeha, eg Marare, Maunga, awa, waka, for Ngati Rahiri. My ancestor is Te Kemara (or Kaiteke) who lived at Pakaraka, near Waimate in Northland. Be very grateful for any help!

Megan,

The following missing data for Ngati Rahiri is.
Marae = Owae Whaitara (Ngati Rahiri do not specifically have their own marae and use the main one at Waitara for this purpose)
Maunga = Taranaki
Awa = Waitara
Waka = Tokomaru
For further information re Ngati Rahiri you could possibly send an email to Keith Holswich "surveyor@mckinlay.co.nz" Keith is very heaqvily involved with ngati Rahiri whereas I am still learning.

cheers,

Dan Stockman
