Hi, I am looking for any links or info relating to my ancestors who were originally from NZ. The only information I have is They left by boat from Manawatu ( sorry about the spelling ) in the early part of this century. I believe there names where John or Charles and and they travelled to Brisbane Australia. We have no contacts of any relations in NZ at all and I would love to try and trace some.

Hal

whoever is looking for the Black whanau, all I can tell you is that Hera Black attended St Josephs Maori Girls College in Greenmeadows 1973 - 1976 and also was at Te Wananga o Raukawa 2003.
The only thing I can tell you is that she is from Ruatoki. She has a sister either known as Whirimako Black but I knew her as Barbara.
Try hooking up with anyone from Whakatane.
