I'm wanting to have a chat with anyone who may know or be related to or even a member of the whaanau of Waimirirangi Marae in Waihou Nui A Rua (Lower Waihou, Panguru), namely;Mapa (Rini), Aperahama (Abraham), Matiu (Matthews), Tamati (Thomas), Te Whiu, Te Tai, Paaka, and whoever else is from this marae or any of these whaanau. My name is Kirihi (Chris or Christopher) Anaru Mapa Rini, the son of Anaru (Andy) Hoohepa Mapa Rini (otherwise known as Joe Mapa here in Christchurch). My grandmother was Miriama Matiu (Matthews) nee Mapa Rini. I'm interested in researching my hakapapa for my whaanau here and in Auckland.
