We have traced our ancestory as far back as Aperahama. Motoi was married to James Melbourne, they had two children, George and Ani. Motoi was from Ruatahuna but I think she spent most of her life in Whakatane.
Trying to go back further than Motoi or if anyone knows anything about her....
We are Ngati Awa, Tuhoe.
Thanks.

Kia Ora!

I am also a descendent of Motoi.

Have you found any information on who the parents of Motoi were?

I have further documents beyond.

Thanks,

Khan.

Hi I am also trying to find information on 'Motoi'.

Motoi I have is a male, and Motoi a first name, last name 'Tai'; I am not sure if that is correct, but the 'Motoi' name is definitely correct. To may understanding he married Hontana.

I would be interested to learn more because i can't find anything earlier than just a name.

I'm not sure how this site works so would appreciate help in how to contact you both directly.
