My name is Skye Manthey and I have just recently found out that my great grandfather was a maori so now i'm looking for proof or a family. His name was Bill/William Branfield and as far as I know he lived and worked most of his life in Goondiwindi in Southern Queensland, Australia, as a shearer. He married an aboriginal woman named Phyllis Turnbull and had 6 daughters. He later died in Brisbane, Queensland of Tuberculosis (as far as I know). And I think he was born in either Christchurch or Wellington, New Zealand.
