Kia ora...Catherine was a daughter of James Alvin Chase(an American)& Naumi(Naomi)Paretuhara Tuatea from Kihitu Wairoa. The marae is Te Rauhina and the hapu, Ngati Kahu. Catherine was a sister to my GGrandfather Thomas Chase. She married Richard Hollis from Hastings and had about 8 children. They are both buried at Omahu Urupa. Some of the Hollis whanau still live in the Hastings area. Perhaps you can find them in the white pages for more info. As I mainly have the Chase whakapapa.
