Kia ora
I'm connected to Dennis Cochrane and Hera (Sarah) Tiriroa, who had Erana who married Muriwai Hepehi, and they had Huihana Hepehi, (but more commonly known with the surname of Muriwai), she married Pita Te Wake, and they had Pairama Te Wake who married Te Haumu (Maria) Papa (Barber) and they had Eruera (Eddie) who married Ihapera (Bella) Wipani who had Johanna Te Wake.....me!!! .....small world huh? So...... how is one able to purchase one of these "Connecting Cochranes" books???

A copy required here too please.

And if the Cochranes weren't enough, the Te Wakes are also related. 🙂

Small world, eh.

I'm happy to get your reply. My tupuna was Cornelius Francis Cochrane a.k.a Mary Walters(Te Rarawa). Married Hoani Waata Papa(Ngapuhi).Cornelius was the daughter of Sarah & Dennis Cochrane

I have sent your reply to Leanne Jackson.

It is Sarah (Hera)Tiraroa that we have been trying to trace.
Have you any information. We know that she was Te Rarawa.

Kiaora, my grandfather Cornelius Frances Walters was named for the daughter of Sarah and Dennis Cochrane. Her name was Cornelia Frances NOT Cornelius (which is the male version of the name) also Francis is spelled with an 'e'. I thought this may be of use to you.

My name is Helen Miles (nee Walters). I am currently constructing a family tree to help my Australian children to keep in touch with their whanau. I have a pile of information that I am struggling to get through and understand. If I find anything that may be of interest I will post.

Kia ora Joelle, i know you posted this a few years back  Erana's mother was not Hera Tiraroa, Erana was my grandmothers grandmother. Erana mother was Ruta Pairama not Hera as some believe. Just setting the recoed straight.
