Kia ora Wendy, maybe you could help me too, my nan was a Bailey born at parehaka, I was given her name when I was born, Mihi Momao, she also gave the Surname Tapuaone but I cant seem to find it anywhere, except an obituary in an opunake newspaper, and there is very little info to that. Id love to find out more about the Baileys, kia ora Mihi
Kia Ora Mihi,
I'm Wendy's sister...would be happy to look into things for you, the names Mihi Momao or Tapuaone doesn't ring a bell with me? Do you have a date of birth for your Nan? There must be a connection somewhere??? Interesting stuff!
We do have family connections to Parihaka, but more so in Waitara. We're the Wanganui branch of the family.
