I found this is interest to know about Chief of Taupo, Paora hapimana, 1805 - died 2nd november 1869 who was shots at the war dance.
His parents Te Korohiko(Rotohiko) and Maata.

Kia Ora,
My g.grandmother's name was Te Ataihaea. Te Ata left Taupo and married in the Hawkes Bay area. I believe that Te Ata was the grand daughter of Paora Hapimana Huriwaka but can not locate any sources or documentation to confirm this. Can anyone help?
