Probably sometime around 1820
TE KAHAUTAPU married Ani KATO (aka UMUTOPUA).
They had Hare HAUTAPU who married Riwia TE RINGATU, and Te Ropehara HAUTAPU and others.
In the late 1830s Ani was living with and bearing children to and english man trader named Robert ESPIE (a.k.a. EPE).

thank-you

Tena koe epimoa,

If you go to www.familysearch.org and put HAUTAPU in the search box, setting the country to NZ then you will find records for some of the whanau you have mentioned.

NOTE: not all records in that site are accurate, but it is a good place to start.

Good luck
