Does anyone know if Wiremu Hoete was related to my gt.gt grandma Maata Hoete, otherwise known as Martha Victoria. Any leads would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Tena Koe Kotare, if you go into the LDS (mormon) website familysearch.org you will find a heap of Hoete whanau there, you type in the surname and set the country to NZ and that may hold clues for you etc, naku noa.

I am most grateful for the info you posted today.Firstly, I am charlene, aka kotare, and I have done most of the sites you mentioned apart from the maori land on line and I will pursue that.
