I'm trying to find out more about my Williams whanau, we come from Manaia in the Coromandel, would like to know all the extended whanau, I know that we are related to the Te Moananui whanau, De Har, Bluegum, Makere,Mikaere and Richards whanau. But can someone point me in the right direction for my connections over in KBay. I lived in Kerepehi and Thames until I turned 6 and then moved to Hamilton. My koro was Pat Williams and my nanny was Mona Parata, so yeah would appreciate some help.
Tena Koe Moheka,
There is no immediate connection that we know of but if you get hold of Selwyn Parata of Te Runanga O Te Ngati Porou, You may get an answer. Selwyn's sister was adopted by a family in Harataunga and was brought up there if that's any help. Otherwise you can ask an esteemed Whakairo
Uncle Paki. Or, If NV18 views this post, he may answer your question, being Uncle Paki Grandson.
Aunty Betty Williams may even have an answer for you. There's Doug Makere, Stan Mikaere to ask. All are still with us. If they go crook at me giving their names, tell them I'll stop thems cheese cakes, flounders and bluenose meals LMAO.
Hope this helps bro,
Tena Koe Moheka,
I saw your Aunty Betty in the shop today, and had a wee Korero with her. Neville hasn't been too well and She's been with him in the hospital, but he is home now so that's good. Your Koro Pat will be easy to trace, get a hold of Selwyn Parata for you Nanny's Whakapapa.
copycatdog.(real name;true, LMAO)
