MITA or MIHINGARE
I am trying to find descendants of the Mita or Mihingare line from Nuhaka, Hawkes Bay.
Kia ora, I'm a Mita. As far as our whaanau know is that we come from Tangoio, Hawkes Bay. My g-g-great grandfather's name was Mita Kararupe and my g-grandfather took it as a surname. I've heard we may have another connection with the Mita of Nuhaka. There are some over in the King Country sticks too, but we don't know too much. The Mita line is my male line. I have a whakapapa that goes back not to my tupuna Rangipo and thats as far as I can go.
