I am looking for information on Wiremu or Piri NIHA who was possibly involved with the "Pioneer Battalion" of World War One, or any of his descendants. He may have been a Chaplain or involved with the Church (possibly Ringatu but not sure)

Thanks

Trace

Tena koe Kataraina,

If you go to www.familysearch.org and put NIHA in the serach box, you will find quite a few records. If you go through them you may find whanau

NOTE: not all records in that site are accurate but it is a great place to start.

Good Luck

Do you have any more information on him, who he was married to or who his parents were, perhaps who his children were?

I am from the Niha family in Ngāti Hine Taitokerau.
