Kia Ora. I am looking for my Mothers birth mother. She was a young part-Maori girl who gave birth in Napier 2nd June 1942. Baby girl was adopted out on June 3rd 1942 to Gwendoline Mavis Baker (later Howell). Baby was christened Helen Ruth Baker.
Father was supposedly a pakeha majestrate/judge.
My Mothers birth mother may still be alive today - if so she would be approx 80-85 years old.
Any information would be greatly appreciated, or any information on how to find her would also be great.
