Kia Ora.

I am trying to trace my whakapapa through my ancestors Wiremu Hohaia who married Tutanumia. They were born I think in the early 1800s. I think that Tutanumia might be a descendant of the 17th century Maniapoto ancestor Tutanumia but then again im not too sure.

My great great great grandfather, Wiremu Hohaia is apparently of Ngati Raukawa descent but don't have his whakapapa to trace back to his iwi. I know he had siblings: Matatua Te Aurere, Te Amo & Rota.

Tutanumia well I am unaware of her last name but was wondering if anyone had her whakapapa tracing her back towards her iwi.

I am hoping someone can help me find their whakapapa or someone who knows their whakapapa as i would like to know the following: iwi, hapu, marae, maunga, awa etc i belong to.

Any information would be great as I would love to learn about my history 🙂

Cheers

Kind Regards

S

I see you posted a possible link to Haki Hohaia/ Whatarangi of Wharekawa on the Net. They are my tupuna and neither had uri named Wiremu Hohaia. Hohaia's I know are at Taranaki and Oturu, Northland. Some of the later live in Mangere. Sorry can't help with Tutanumia

I found my connection to Tutanumia. She comes from the Takitimu bloodline through the whakapapa below. I am unsure who these 3 before her married

Te Ra = ?
Aukaha = ?
Kiritapu = ?
Tutanumia = Wiremu Hohaia
