I have a 'Turei' Heke somewhere in my line, and I believe the Karaka line is connected somehow. My Turei Heke was at both Te Rawhiti (Bay of islands) and also the East Coast way somewhere, known as Turei Heke Maki. Any information furhter might clarify this enquiry, thanks. Best Wishes in your search.

Interestingly I see your surname as Katene. That name links to Turei Heke also.
