Looking for information regarding my great grand father PIWHARA MATEPARAE who was married to MANAWA WHAREPAPA and for a time were residing at Turangarere in the Taihape area around Circ 1913.
They had 2 children RAWIRI born 6 June 1894, and WHAREHAU born 12 August 1914. (both born in Tokaanu.)
RAWIRI served in the NZ Maori Contingent WW1 1914-1918. when he came home he married ARAPERA WHAKATIHI. when RAWIRI died he was buried at Ratana Pa Urupa.
WHAREHAU lived at Tokaanu Ratana Pa and Whanganui East She married TUIRANGI KEREI in 1942. Mum died 11 December 1995 and Dad died 7 July 2003 and are both buried at Aramoho Cemetary (They are my parents)
