Kia ora terawhakatau,
If you make sure you are at the Whakapapa Club then put the surname Takao in the search box on the top right hand corner - you will find a few records there for Takao.

Then from the search result page, choose to search the eMail directories and the archives - again you will find a few Takao there.

Maybe email the ones in the email directories search results - they may be able to help you with more information.

Another option for you is to go to this site and if you get a pop up box choose to go to the old site - the new one is useless - put Takao in the surname, set the country to New Zealand and have a look through the names that come up.

However, you need to be aware that the info in that site can be inaccurate, but it is a good place to start!

Good luck! 🙂
