Looking for any information about my great grandmother Ameria Tamati passed away in the 1880's from TB at age 29. Married to Samuel Crowther, had three boys, my grandfather's name was George Crowther and one of his brother's was Joseph. He was born on Opepe Pa, Taupo. My great grandmother Ameria donated some land to build a school in Napier and she and my great grandfather are both buried at Napier cemetary. Samuel was a Cobb and Co coach driver on the Taupo/Napier road. I would like to know my great grandmother's iwi and hapu and her mother and father's names as well as any siblings she may have had. Thanks

Kia ora,

Go to the Whakapapa club Research Archives and search for Tamati - there are quite a few results there so take a look at them as you may be able to find information in them to help you.

Good Luck!
