Kia ora!
Im trying to get as much info as possible on my whakapapa, so any help would be awesome 😀
My grandmother was Mere Tarapuhi Tamihana. She was of Tainui and Ngati Paoa descent. Her mother was Mere Tarapuhi Kuinaki and her dad was Wiremu Wira Tamihana. I know that one of her sisters was Hariata Tamihana (later known as Hariata Gordon). I also know that her main marae was Waiti. Mere grew up in Morrinsville, but later moved to Wellington in her late teens.

Any help would be amazing!

Hi, Not able to help with yr whakapapa but a friend of mine came from Waiti. I'm wondering if you have the correct name - ie, "Mere Tarapuhi Kuinaki". Should this be "Koinaki" instead - the Koinaki family come from Waiti.
