G'day,

I am interested in finding out more about my Great Great Great Great Grandfather Nepia Taratoa. As far as I know he was a member of Ngati Raukawa, was Te Rauparaha's nephew and was involved in the Heke Kariritahi (great migration) south with Te Whatanui etc where he was given the land surrounding the Rangitikei.

What I am interested in learning is perhaps the names of Nepia Taratoas parents and anything else if possible. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

not sure but maybe going back to the Maori Land Court records of around 1880-6 for Maungatautari Nepia Taratoa was the chief in the early days of Maungatautari
