Kiaora te whanau,

In the last couple of months our mum passed away, and my siblings and i are trying to finish the whakapapa where she has left off and carry on our whakapapa research. My mums dad, our koro his name was Charles Manuhiri Harris. We are looking for any information on his line, as he would never tell us much, and many of his own children left alive still do not know anything passed our koro. We dont know many of our whanau from our koro's side apart from a few of his siblings. Barbara, ( Aunty Barb ) from Ratana Paa is my koro's sister, Bully from Invercargill (both deceased) was his baby brother, my koro the oldest. Ngapeka Te Roa i am told raised my koro when he was young, and not much else is known past that. (maybe a few other fishy stories of my family past?) All i would like to know is if anyone can help me and if i can make a connection. We don't care about land, money, or anything else. All we wanna know is what happened to our koro? Where did he travel, how many brothers and sisters he had in total, and how much whanau i have out there that we don't know and have yet to find? If you can help or think you are whanau, please make contact we would love to know.

Kia ora kapua_harris,

Just wondering if you have gotten anywhere with your query?

If not, could you let us know if possible if you know where the Harris whanau are from, as there are a few around the motu.

I also see in the heading of your post the name Rahui Te Kiri - any other info about this person may also help someone here to awhi you!

Good Luck! 😀

Nau te raurau,
Naku te raurau,
Ka ora ai nga tangata!
Together we will get there!
