Kia ora Paul. I'm new at this.
I also hail from Ngati TE Ata. Do you have a comprehensive whakapapa for Ngati Te Ata. I'm trying to track my Te Koi line.
I have talked to Geo. Flavell and Roimata Minhinnick but they don't have a comprehensive Ngati Te Ata whakapapa.

What land blocks or kainga around Ngati Te Ata is your whanau in?

Edda

Kia ora Edda,

I am also from the Brown whanau from Waiuku. Maybe try and contact some one via the ngatiteata website they maybe able to steer you in the right way. Just like you I haven't found anyone with a comprehensive Ngati Te Ata whakapapa. From what I know alot of my Tupuna married into Ngati Mahuta and were part of The Rangiriri (Gumboat) wars.

I've heard the Te Koi name around Huntly and Ngaruawahia do you have any connections there?
