Kia Ora whanau

My cousin sung this beautiful lulaby called Kua a Tipu Ra, I didnt get a chance to get the full story from her but she said its to do with Hinekohu from Tuhoe history.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on how this song come about or who composed it? I have it posted on youtube if anyone needs to hear the song.

Thanks
