Tena koe Aumihi,

I have also links to Te Ngaere, through my grandparents. Have you try any of the whanau like Anaru Kira and others? I know Syd Kira died.
I also noticed you are a Taiapo as well, I may have sme of the hakapapa. Does this come from the tupuna Pita Taiapo, as I may have a contact for you as well. Can you tell what your parents name were, this may help me in terms of the hakapapa for the taiapo line. The paora or paul is quite a difficult one as there are about three whanau that I know of with this surname. But I think you may be talking about the tupuna Paora Paora who was the kaumatua for Te Ngaere area. I will have a look for you and get back to you on this.

Na Raniera

Kia Ora, I've recently been doing some research on my grandmothers name and hope someone on this site can help. Her name was Te Keene Juranovich (maiden name Paora). Her father was Paora Paora from Te Ngaere.

She was a wonderful person and I have lots of fond memories of her. To honour her memory I named my newborn daughter after her. Unfortunatley I have little information on what the name means (if there is a meaning) and where it originated from. Can anyone help?

Hi Ada

Tarawau Kira is my grandfather, so when you are ready to head back to Aotearoa for a holiday, I will take you on a tour and introduce you to everyone. Contact me via this site.
