We are trying to track down our great great grand mothers mother (Phew! That was a mouthful!). Her name was HENERI NGATAI and possibly cam from the Waimana district. She was also known as HENERI KARAKA. She would have been born in the early 1800's. She may have moved to Harataunga, Kennedy Bay to be with her husband Hoterene Karaka Snr. They had a daughter by the name of Heneriata Waimatou Karaka. Heneriata Waimatou Karaka ended up moving back to Gisborne East Coast with her husband.
