Tena koutou
My name is Bella Tari (nee Clarke) from Ngawha. My nanny is TeOwai, her grandmother was Hineawe. We are known as Te Whanau O Hineawe. Does anyone have any other information about Hineawe from Ngati Porou who had a child to Ngapuhi? My nanny TeOwai was 107 when she died in 1947. She is buried at Ngawha. Noho ora mai.

Kia ora, was she Hine Ahurangi who married Rangi Awe and took the name of Hineawe? I split her name and looked it up. Early 1800's.
